Non-chicken based low fat dog food for pancreatitis

@hmg Your vet should be able to offer suggestions, including an elimination diet to insure that chicken is really the problem.

Non-chicken based low fat dog food for pancreatitis

@hmg Even if they don't carry anything else in-house, they should be able to make recommendations. My vet gave several options for us when my girl needed Rx food and not just foods they carried at the office.

    I’m an idiot sandwich

@floodland I join the idiot sandwich club for having given cheese as well. I think I prefer terrorist overlord, though. That's an accurate description of how I felt with a barking little wench in front of me, and me trying to stand firm...famous last words.

Does anyone know if Alpo Variety Snaps Dog Treats have been discontinued??

@mikek401 If the Marrobone are easy to break up, I'll give those a try. Mine gains weight so easily, she's 15 lbs so it doesn't take much to be a treat.

Does anyone know if Alpo Variety Snaps Dog Treats have been discontinued??

@issylostneedtobefound Hopefully I can share a group outside this one and not get into trouble. In the Dog Food Nerds of Facebook group, just search for Variety snaps and it should come up. Some of the suggestions are using the tiny Milkbone or Mother Hubbard, Buddy Biscuits and the...

Does anyone know if Alpo Variety Snaps Dog Treats have been discontinued??

@kyl300 I'm really sorry to have been the bearer of bad news. There was a post with conversation about possible alternatives so you are not alone in having a dog that preferred the Variety Snaps. I'm lucky my girl is happy with a few brands of treats. I hope you find something else that works...
