My 1 year old golden retriever puppy is just not snuggly and it makes me SAD.
I know he loves me. He follows me everywhere including the bathroom and is depressed when I leave (according to my partner). But because it’s not MY love language, the relationship just doesn’t always feel fulfilling.
I’ve had him since a pup and he is an objectively awesome dog. I put my heart and soul into his training, enrichment, and food. I feel guilty for being so disappointed but it stinks to feel like I’m not getting the love back in the way that I want.
I’m working on appreciating the dog in front of me while holding out hope that he grows into more of a snuggler.![Crossed fingers: medium-light skin tone :fingers_crossed_tone2: 🤞🏼](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f91e-1f3fc.png)
