Who will miss him but me?

@dike He only needs one person, one advocate who will fight for him, and that's you. Keep fighting for your boy. Sending lots of love.

Is it messed up to leave my dog home w/ NO AC?

@ewb1948 Do some research on brachycephalic dogs. Older dogs, or dogs with medical conditions, can also be sensitive to overheating. Edit: Forgot to add breeds adapted for colder climates, like huskies and Saint Bernards, don't handle heat well either.

    Am I bad owner?

@niaa This. Please, OP, don't jump on the trend wagon. Raw diets do work for some, I'm sure, but they require a lot of research and work to make sure your dog is getting the correct nutrition. I haven't met a vet yet that recommends them. Same goes for grain free diets. They were all the rage...

Don’t know if euthanasia is the option here

@traininggrounds I'm so sorry both you and your dog are in this situation. You've both been misled and mistreated here. This dog has extreme fear. I am certain that fear was either created or exacerbated by that "dominance" training. Dominance training should never be used on a dog. Frankly, it...

No one can give you an accurate answer without knowing these things, because they all factor in to whether your dog...

    Picking up poop?

@ashe ...I think some of these people are delusional. Short of a sponge, you cannot possible soak up every drop of liquid poop. A bag is totally ineffective to pick up liquid. Physics does not really work that way. No one expects you to pick up dog pee somehow, so I don't understand how they...

Getting a dog with a full time job?

@kim2116 Most dogs have owners who work full time. Golden retrievers are an excellent breed for this dynamic, as they are easy to train and emotionally able to handle separation. You do want to leave any animal periodically so they don't develop separation anxiety. Seriously. Separation anxiety...

Getting a dog with a full time job?

@mastermulti By never leaving an animal for even a short period of time, you are creating separation anxiety, and doing the animal a huge disservice. There are times in life when you will have to leave an animal, whether you want to or not. You want your animal to be comfortable with that, and...
