@mangolime17 I’d bring photo for reference. Puppies first haircuts can be stressful and sometimes it takes a few grooms for them to settle down. That being said the haircut isn’t always going to be perfect or exactly what you want in the start.

@nyh A bravura is 9,10,15,30,40. If your looking for a 5 in 1 that has blade attachments also artero spectra ROCKS. The blades last 3x as long as the wahl. Plus they make a3,4,5,7 blade attachments you can get. Just wish they made metal comb attachments instead of plastic

@figg I charge 60$ per hour. I only include the actual time I have my hands on the pup. Basically if a dog has to crate dry I'm not gonna charge the client for that time

@gentleminh Hike prices come the new year. It will probably eliminate some of the people you don't want anyway and may lighten the load.

@gentleminh Maybe you can start with "I can only do X amount of dogs per day. X amount of large dogs" then explain why. If your boss isn't with it then say "OK than I have to give my 2 weeks notice because I'm neglecting my family and my own well being"

@lutheranandproud No. We do the same thing. Make them stick to a schedule and if they don’t, you give them just enough rope to hang themselves😋

@lutheranandproud I don’t keep my doodles in anything longer than an A/0. People can’t maintain anything longer. I always start with the E/C for first cut and every time they come in I take a length shorter until they are in a spot that is fair.

@chris_1989 We tell people to please not treat them any differently. Act like they are the most beautiful dog ever!! Dogs are sensetive and they feel energy

@madison_breen Yeah we're kinda bitchy at the shop. We just have little patience when someone tries to school us on our own craft. Plus I already know I don't want you as a client and I'm sure not afraid to lose business from someone like that😌

@campos My sister has 12. She has no children and treats them as though they are. Those damn dogs eat better than me😁But the dogs always come first in her house. They eat pasta to pay vet and food bills. Plus some of them eat raw and others on special diets. She’s crazy but I love her😂😂😂

@whothat We have a 72 hr policy. Any clients that are like this have to go over dog before leaving. Plus I personally require a photo of their dog in a cut they were happy with.
