UrbanPup’s is a mobile app aimed to help urban pet owners overcome their challenges by facilitating pet meetups, pet service exchanges, and providing local pet information making city life more pet-friendly. It integrates several crucial services into one cohesive platform, to address the unique challenges urban pet owners encounter. Moreover, unlike its competitors, UrbanPups puts your pet first and put strong emphasis on building a strong community city-dwelling pet owners and fostering a sense of support and belonging among its users, whilst addressing common challenges pet owners face. UrbanPups is not just an app, but a lifestyle companion for urban pet owners where every swipe is a ‘pawsitive’ one, leading to wagging tails.
Problem: The rise in pet ownership, specifically in urban areas, has presented challenges in providing adequate pet socialization opportunities, exercise and pet services that need to be addressed.
Opportunity: The recent growth in pet ownership opens up substantial market opportunities for services catering to pets. Demographic changes, rising income levels and the Covid-19 pandemic have led to a global rise in pet ownership with Millennials leading the trend & Gen Z representing a growing segment accelerating the pet ownership ‘boom’ (HFA).
