My vet wants to charge $700 to get my puppy neutered, is that normal?

@tarper I would for sure look online for either low-cost vets, or look for places that do specifically spay and neuter (those usually cost less but not always)

@tarper You can also look into pet insurance, sometimes that will lower the cost.

@knowledgeisnotignorant My pet insurance has a deductible of $500 and I’d have to pay that full amount… definitely cheaper than the original quote but there’s still gotta be something :/

@tarper Oh what pet insurance ? My insurance provider considers neuter an spay a “known “ circumstance which means it’s not covered
