How much do they really change around 1 year old?

@mikail Mine didn't really "slow down" at year one. Ashe is a big old energetic maniac, and he was a downright nightmare for the first year. But rounding in 3.5 he's transitioned into my favorite big dude ever. He's still high energy, but I taught him soft mouth and to realize that it is okay to relax and now, in the right conditions, he'll spend most of his time in my lap munching on one thing or other. We still do his jump tricks and walks daily, but it's all a matter of earning their respect, establishing a routine, and being patient. Once they settle, they're the best, most affectionate, and the brightest light in life.

@mikail Mine is 7 and still not chill at all. These dogs are not for the faint of heart. They are truly the best and most amazing dogs if you can stick it out. Good luck. Buy brain toys, those help, gives them a job.
