High Omega 6 in dog foods?

Why do dog foods have high omega 6 and very little omega 3? I thought the benefits were in omega 3? I emailed the companies and they could not provide me with a article stating the benefits of more 6 to 3 omega. If there is no benefits then why are they putting so much omega 6 in it?

@mindforchristmomof3 Both are essential fatty acids that need to be in appropriate ratios in dog food (30:1 max)

Who gave you the idea there are no benefits to omega 6?
