Can someone explain how to calculate a line breeding coefficient?

I also breed and raise cattle and horses and understand the risks / benefits of line breeding. However, in the horse and cattle world we present extensives pedigrees and highlight this information upfront.

On many dog breeding flyers, I see things such as "1:2 line breeding" or "1:4 line breeding." And I am confused on how to calculate that ratio. I have a mating where the dog and the bitch share a great-grandfather (i.e. 12.5% of the genetic code could be expressed twice). Does anyone know what this line breeding ratio would be?

@jakeyb123 This is also where DNA testing really helps.

Embark gives you the coefficient for every dog you test, they also have a feature for breeders that takes the info of prospective mates and figures it out for you that way.
