    Building a breed from scratch

    Building a breed from scratch

@glenninindy The issue with single kennel breeds is that there is no overall organization to steer the breed in a good direction. In a new breed situation the breed club should decide what the goal is for the breed and then access each dog produced to that standard. Each dog produced needs to...

    Advice needed w/ co-owner

@mingyanwong if she sold credits and she collected $ she's is in charge of paying back those people for services not provided. I'd handle it be taking back the dog, documenting their condition and corisponances where she is in violation of your agreements and cut cut contact all together.

    WORKING 12 HOURS W/A DOG

@eagle777 Justify and excuse yourself in whatever way help you sleep at night. If you don't hire a dog walker it's neglect bordering abuse plain and simple.

Are GSP's reliable off leash w/o e-collar training?

@shenanigansandtoast This depends on the bloodline, American field trial lines are expected to be big running 500 yard dogs.

    WORKING 12 HOURS W/A DOG

@eagle777 You 100% need to hire a Dog walker for an almost 15+ hour day alone. Probably for 2 walks. If you are unable or unwilling to hire a dog walker you need to rehome the dogs. 15 hours alone isn't dog ownership it's neglect.

Are GSP's reliable off leash w/o e-collar training?

@biblepeng Finding the right bloodline that has been bred to be more bidable, higher handler focus/engagement will be key. Don't go getting a field trial bred dog and expect recall training to be as easy as a blooding created for closer work, or a bloodline out of say Germany.
