    Is sportmix dog food safe

@bfurnace If your dog is throwing up bile it would usually indicate some sort of upset stomach which I would stop feeding the food. Check a weight scale chart to actually be sure your dog is underweight as many healthy dogs appear underweight since many people are used to fat dogs. Check out...

New Year's Eve Party- should I let my puppy out?

@druzemar I brought my dog to work with me as a puppy and the amount of people that tried to fed him chips, muffins or something was astonishing. I had a couple people brag about doing it behind my back it was infuriating. That’s why I mentioned food as it is super frustrating dealing with a...

1.5 yr old Bernese mountain mix

@p1lgr1m You could try the sensitive skin and stomach line by Purina. It’s done wonders for my guy. A friend dog emitted a bad smell and had coarse fur until switching to the sensitive line.

New Year's Eve Party- should I let my puppy out?

@druzemar I would do activities during the day and crate puppy at night with a blanket overtop of the crate. Honestly puppies are hard to keep track of, people love feeding them food and dropping stuff on the floor. Plus having two puppies plus kids is a handful to pay attention to. Also...

    Farmina formula change?

@virginiajenkins I don’t think they’ll post stuff about it changing. I usually just compare the two ingredients list on the bags so maybe that’s worth a try, otherwise I would see if you can return/exchange the bag. Nothings worse than a 20lb bag of dog food you can’t use

Help with dog food issue - honest kitchen x open farms combo

@imagebeastmarkbeast No need to be commenting on everyone’s posts. If you look at OPs post history they ended up convincing their family to buy WSAVA food

    Dog ate garlic

@pinkjellybelly I would monitor. Do leashed outings so you can monitor bowel movements to catch anything early and ask the vet what symptoms you should keep an eye out for. If it does take 5 days to present maybe do another blood panel on day 3? I would ask the vet though

What is the best dog food?

@sahel Royal canine is a good brand! It’s WSAVA compliant with lots of testing, vet recommendations and research behind it. Puppies grow fast so if the vets say everything is good I would trust them! As for switching food I haven’t heard of new born food so I’d just reach out to your vet to ask...

What is the best dog food?

@sahel Are you feeding puppy food? Have you checked with the vet to ensure the weight gain is weight gain or just normal growth? Are you feeding proper ratio/amounts? I would speak with the vet first. Puppies should be on puppy food for proper development and growth. As for weight gain it’s...

    Transition to Adult food

@stella57 Here I found this as well as this. If you’re unsure what to feed you can give you vet a call :)

    Transition to Adult food

@stella57 I think the difference is just size of kibble, there may be some minor changes in the formula but nothing significant

    Kibble suggestions

@aelialicinia I want to add acana in my area hasn’t had too many “bad” changes. They’ve added grains which is good and have cut out a lot if not all peas and legumes from there diet

    Kibble suggestions

@sevilodorf How? If they can provide supporting documents it’s not lying?

    Argh!!! Victor recall!!!!

@soldierofchrist321 It’s pretty crazy, finding info can be hard and overwhelming so it’s nice having a bunch of reliable sources compiled in one spot. Best of luck finding a new food!

    Kibble suggestions

@charity78777 There are other brands who meet WSAVA guidelines. I reached out to yumwoof and they stated they met both standards. It’s just those 5 companies are more widespread

@fastedandprayed Check this out. Ingredient lists really aren’t a great way of judging foods

    Member’s Mark / Sam’s Club

@gigis I found it sorry, seems it’s a brand associated with Victor who just did a MASSIVE voluntary recall due to salmonella contamination

    Member’s Mark / Sam’s Club

@gigis Honestly I can’t find anything about it online which is a bit suspicious. Although if you’re looking for a new food that is WSAVA compliant and cheaper Iams is a great option and anything Purina as they have many different options and price points. Edit: Found this? Seems members mark...
