My puppy turned 6 months old yesterday- here’s what I wish I could tell myself when he first came home!

@vanderdeken Time does fly by. Do like with infants a photo each month with something to gauge size by.

F the B that gave me and my dog a dirty look

@onguard Most people give up and give back reactive dogs vs working with them. Big kudos to you.

@mairie Laughing or blowing kisses takes the nasty out of their comments.

My Family’s Dog is Afraid Of Me, I’d Like To Help Her Feel More Comfortable

@pyroisonfire Change your posture when you are around her, kneel on the floor or squat and offer treats. Men are tall and threatening because of your deep voice. Try using a high pitched baby voice too. Call her to you for pets and treats. You will be friends before you know it.

I dread 9pm… when my perfectly wonderful puppy turns into a demon straight from Hell

@burks_patrick Exercise him more between 3 and 6 pm, feed him, take him out then put him in his play pen with a chew toy, chewing toys are stress relievers. It surely sounds like being over tired.

I dread 9pm… when my perfectly wonderful puppy turns into a demon straight from Hell

My puppy turned 6 months old yesterday- here’s what I wish I could tell myself when he first came home!

@vesper1977 Understand, but whenever you need to run an errand pick up groceries, etc. practice then. Or even purposely take a drive just to give pup half hour in her crate.

My puppy turned 6 months old yesterday- here’s what I wish I could tell myself when he first came home!

@vesper1977 To avoid separation anxiety, be sure to go out for short periods leaving pup in crate with something safe to chew on. You can also leave crate open when you are home so she can wander in and out as she pleases.

My Pit-Lab-whatever (f) attacks my Puggle (f) randomly and we're all very stressed

@kourtney I had a shiba inu that wanted to kill my first affenpinscher. I grew up in a quiet family, but this dog grabbing my little guy made me understand what living in an abusive home must be like. I was always scared she would grab him. I had to bring him to vet several times for bite...

My Pit-Lab-whatever (f) attacks my Puggle (f) randomly and we're all very stressed

@kourtney Is one of them not spayed? Hormonal cycles can cause one female to try to drive off the other. In wild packs only lead male and female are allowed to breed.
