What is the best way to wash those fuzzy dog beds?

Hello! We have a large dog and were gifted one of those Sherpa fabric type dog beds. something like this

It’s gotten pretty gross and I’m not sure how to properly wash it. The cover does not come off so I’m worried about throwing the whole thing in the washing machine. Any advice is appreciated!

@slaw7777 I’ve thrown it right in the wash, air dried, and it’s been totally fine! The stuff inside might clump a bit in the middle but I just fluffed it back up as best as I could

@slaw7777 If it fits in your washer, go for it! Just avoid hot water, and consider using a pet-safe laundry cleanser (like Nature's Miracle) to give the wash an extra boost. I usually use the normal/permanent press setting with an extra high spin cycle to get as much water out as possible, then air dry. Certainly, if you use the dryer, don't put it on the high or cotton settings, or it'll ruin the texture.

@pastorinny I second this. The natures miracle really helps get rid of any smells. But I would definitely use the pre-soak feature if your washer supports it.
