my 10 month old weenie is currently on royal cain pup food/ however it’s time to switch. i wouldn’t mind keeping royal cain it’s just really expensive and i’m a college student. i’m open to making his food as well. just curiouss if anyone has recommendations for dog food for him since i’ll be buying dog food this weekend ty in advance

It’s not recommended for most owners and won’t be cheaper to make it. I’d pick another science backed diet similar to RC but cheaper.

Purina One, Beneful, Iams if you’re in North America are all good options.

@godgivenwings Royal Canin is the best. I wouldn't switch. If you are, switch for a company that follows WSAVA guidelines which include Royal Canin, Purina, Hill's, Iams and Eukanaba. Making their food isn't really cost effective and very time consuming.
