Is an 8 year old chihuahua too old to have puppies??

We really want our female chihuahua to have puppies
Do you guys think she is too old to have puppies
Will she have problems during birth??
She is 8 years old and it will be her first litter

@pinkstars86 Yes. Responsible breeders stop at age 6.

I've seen a good amount of dead and underdeveloped puppies (also dead) because people didn't care.

@pinkstars86 For a first litter yes I'd say too old. If she had whelped before and there was an important reason to breed her like she was a breed champion or had a very specific trait that would add something maybe. But not a good idea to have a first litter then. Especially if she isn't anything special to the breed.
