@thedancingbaptist My knowledge of terriers stems only to game bred terriers. Something you don't want for a pet home is gonna be a high drive version. Patterdale terriers will kill foxes and badgers at 15lbs chain weight. Those are tiny dogs bred for a chain. You'll want some house bred dogs. You should expect some small mammal prey drive. Use it to engage the dog somehow. The highest drive versions reliably repeat that drive to 100% predictable 100% effort.
A badly bred temperment is when the applications of drives are 0% sometimes 50% sometimes 100% and harder to guess what the dog will do.
