My ACD mix is 8 months old and weighs 28 lbs. Is that about right for an ACD puppy?

@markinsydney With mixes, you really don’t know.
@markinsydney The thing about mixes is that you don’t know what you’re going to get. That’s also true with “designer” mixes, contrary to popular belief.
@markinsydney My border heeler female is 25 pounds at 5.5 months. Brother from previous litter was heavier at this age, he’s 50 pounds at 18 months.

@markinsydney If you did Embark and tell them how old she is, they'll guesstimate an adult weight. My mix was 26 pounds at 7 months old and Embark estimated an adult weight of 50.
She's about 48 pounds now and a few months shy of 2 years old, so they were pretty much right on!

@markinsydney Depends what the mix is; if you are concerned about the weight ask your vet at your next visit.

@berksguy610 No concern. Either way she is the perfect size. I absolutely adore this dog!

@markinsydney My full grown hovers between 35-40 so Im sure 28 is perfectly fine.
@markinsydney Could fall into ACD ranges in a couple months but sounds on the smaller side. But you have a mix so…there’s not gonna be a standard weight to compare to. An ACD mixed with a chihuahua isn’t going to be the same as one mixed with Labrador. 
@markinsydney That's about what our girl was at that age. She's mostly and with a little aussie and collie. She's now about 35lbsat 1 year.

@markinsydney Glad you asked this question. I have a 6mo male at 25# and was curious about others. But like everyone is saying, it varies I guess. I’ve never had a puppy before so this is new and so interesting to me!
