@ngocluongkt48 That’s always been my trick. Pull them back like a wheelbarrow. I usually loop a arm under the crotch and walk backwards.

I started rewarding the first 1-2 barks, then i check on the offender, end with a “thank you, that’s enough”

@bee_brian It’s going pretty good. They haven’t scuffled in the car in a long time

@jwyattharp I think that this sub is great for accepting that we don’t need to shoehorn our dogs into every situation. My dogs don’t need to go to breweries, dog park, and parties. They need to protect chickens from coyotes, which requires some level of aggression towards canids. They’re...

@jwyattharp My dogs are absolutely the most sensitive creatures on this planet, and im not allowed to so much as get upset at the Internet without them scurrying and hiding. That said, his definition of neurotic is to keep them out of busy places like the party, and dog parks. I admit that I’m...

My puppy peed 11 times in 4 hours in sitter’s apartment

@toogerthecat This is my thought, I would take him to the vet if he really peed that much. Either marking or UTI.

@shotaro Same. It’s awful. I hate it so much. And it’s stupid because they love each other so much but they need to be left alone in the car sometimes and sometimes there’s dogs. It’s the most stressful thing

Getting a puppy was WAY more work than I could have ever imagined

@1daysoon What’s funny is my puppies are litter mates and I have their parents, so I’ve literally raised them since the moment they were born. They’re 1.5 now but that said, one is still an absolute chewing monster but potty trained herself around 5-6 months. The other had issues with potty...

I started rewarding the first 1-2 barks, then i check on the offender, end with a “thank you, that’s enough”

@pixeloriousspriteson We’re in a single family, so thankfully the upstairs neighbor doesn't exist. But there was a big debate today in the house if the brown things were dogs (bad) or deer (neutral). It was a deer, so we could all calm down. The only times they get a NO. Is when they go crazy...

Getting a puppy was WAY more work than I could have ever imagined

@ghofer My first puppy was potty trained by 9 weeks, he couldn’t hold it all night but still knew where to potty. He knew all of his tricks, didn’t chew up anything bad and was such a perfect puppy. My next puppy was pretty similar and at this point, I thought I was a puppy wizard. Then my...

I feel like they’re responding well to praise and me double-checking their work. They used to carry on, but now make eye contact with me after alerting, and wait for me to check on it, and will leave it. At worst, one of them will grumble in her inside voice. I’ve been trying to work on...

@moonblader Normally I don't, but we decided not to board them, so I had to bring them on this trip. So not only are they out of their element, but they've been cooped up a lot more than they're used to. There was no ideal decision and I'm trying to do my best on them after disrupting their life.

@zotis That’s pretty funny. I think one thing that my dad has never experienced is having four young dogs. They have a completely different attitude and issues as a group. Just any one of them is never that hard. As an individual theyre all pretty well behaved and do fine with most people and...

@reina0915 You treat them like a puppy again and take them out after eating/drinking/playing and every hour or so.
