I Think i adopted a Abused or24/7 caged Dog, Advice in helping her Socalize?

@2012user Check out 3 3 3 rule for adoption. This dog has gone they massive traumatic experiences, first a stray, them some intermediatary home/kennel, then to a shop being touched by lots of pp, now a new house, new people. It's freaked right out. You need to take it very slowly as the dog are...

What breed works best for us?

@eajones103 Get mixed breed dog, they are known to be much healthier and less likely to have genetic medical issues. And honestly.... Pick a dog based on the energy level of the dog and your lifestyle. Snout lenght won't be a good way to pick a dog that suits your life. You sound like you want...

6 years old lab x bernese mountain dog motorcycle issue and outdoor cats issue

@parrishchapel You can totally train adult dogs often faster than puppies. Put the effort in, be dedicated and your reward is a well behaved dog. Often a short stint w a trainers advice can change your mindset and make great progress w problematic behaviours. I foster adult dogs w totally...

One of my dogs and I were away for a week and now that she's back home, my other dog is being aggressive towards her

@amanda86 100% it's bc your younger bitch is in heat. That can generate fights w dogs they know, dogs they don't know v fast bc of the hormones. Keep them fully seperated for at least a week, then restart intro by walking them leashed together daily and if that goes well, by 10 days or so...

Trying to decide if I should put my lab mix (f/8) with anxiety down

@ttobe2 How long is the long walk? Ideally that wld happen earlier in the day to get all her energy out so she's not got all the energy during the day. It wldnt hurt to try to rehome her yourself if u are really looking at euthanisia. No other dogs, no other pets, experienced owner, yard...

Trying to decide if I should put my lab mix (f/8) with anxiety down

@ttobe2 I'm mot sure what the issues are that are serious enough to euthanize? You haven't covered what the dogs daily exercise is since baby came along? I'm guessing it's less. So having a baby (they can b stressful for some dogs), lack of 1:1 time, exercise and her behaviour has deteriorated...

My dog hasn’t pooped in 3-5 days, and now I’m concerned?

@neochris Yes, be concerned. 5 days and nothing, but it's eatknb. Just not right. Have they taken him back to the veg to be examined? A blockage will eventually be deadly.

    Mini-Bernedoodle puppies fighting

@shae You seem put of your depth. Calling a15 week old puppy "agressive". And having one pup display unwanted behaviours towards your grandchild....and you still want to keep your impluse buy....? Its easier with one, more chance you'll be successful. And the size of the smaller one is clearly...

    Mini-Bernedoodle puppies fighting

@shae Sigh. A small puppy doesn't mean small size adult. It usually means runt or under nourished. If small compared to rest of litter that's not good. And you said yourself they were abt half the weight that they should be. And I can show you hundreds of people who struggle to raise 2 pups...

    Mini-Bernedoodle puppies fighting

@shae Ummm I'm calling a bit of bs on "reputable breeder"... Why were they so under weight? Why didn't they keep the underweight pups after bigger ones sold and build them up? Did pup have respiratory infection when u got it? And imo reputable breeders wouldn't just give u an extra puppy on...

New Dog (1 y/o rescue) Intro to Current 9 y/o

@ai1226 I'd suggest not allowing dogs on the couch right now. Often just being up and very close to humans can create issues. Keep a leash on new dog as ur just getting to know them and will see more behaviours over next few weeks. Having a leash just gives u extra quick control. For example as...
