Trazodone v. Trazodone HCL

One of our dogs takes Trazodone weekly due to situational anxiety (she’s terrified of the garbage truck, so we give it to her the morning of pickup days). Recently, our friends had to put their dog down and gave us a bunch of his stuff, including his prescription of Trazodone HCL.

Is there a difference between Trazodone and Trazodone HCL? Or is it the same thing, just labeled differently for whatever reason?

@juliajulia123 It’s the same thing. It does come in varying milligrams though!
