Hey guys, for context my dog is a mix of chihuahua and pinscher but is mostly chihuahua, never had puppies. She is 5 years old, she turns 6 on october. I never neutered her (or sterilized? Idk the difference) I know, I should’ve but she is my first dog and didn’t know about the consequences on the health of not doing it. Now, I want to do it because I saw it is better for cxncer, txmors and that stuff. But now I’m worried that she is too old for it and I don’t want any complications or something bad happening to her. What do you guys think? Also, she is a little overweight now and I heard this surgery makes dogs to gain weight, is that true? Thank you so much.
