Relaxin or wait for radiographs?

Our female French Bulldog was bred naturally (4 ties over 6 days) with the stud. They last mated Jan 6th, first time was Dec 31. We’ve been anxious to confirm her pregnancy-vet said her Progesterone was high 1.5 weeks ago and it was 40 ng/ml.

We need to determine if she is pregnant because we are in the middle of a move. Lots of things to juggle.

Should we confirm via relaxin test on THIS Saturday/Sunday (1/30 or 1/31)? Get an ultrasound? Is there any point to an US? I know you can see heartbeats, theoretically? But not how many puppies she is carrying?

What’s the most effective and definitive way to know? We are first time breeders, and not breeding DQ colors (fad color) and have researched the pedigrees of both dogs.

Any advice welcome.

@brycliff Wait, relaxin doesn't tell you much, only that she was pregnant at one time. The puppies could have been reabsorbed and it would still be positive as long as they developed a placenta. If you have a good vet (and not a ton of puppies) you can get an idea of how many, but the x-ray is probably the best tool of the three. Obviously, you wouldn't be able to confirm that until she was near the due date though.
