Rec for conditioner?

I’d love some recommendations for conditioner for my Havanese. My groomer never tells me and he’s so much softer after coming from her than after I bathe him. I use fresh n clean shampoo and the stuff spray in conditioner.

He’s chilled out a lot so he could easily tolerate a separate conditioner.

I keep his hair pretty short.

@simon84 Conditioner containing keratin are my favorite as of right now. However the coat has to be really clean before using any conditioner. I shampoo once with a clarifying/degreasing followed up with silky show or another protein shampoo. I also use a leave in conditioner after I’ve finished the haircut (blown into the coat).

@timaeus You have to be careful with too much protein. Protein and keratin are actually drying to the coat if it's used too often, and it can lead to hair breakage. It's the same for people hair, too.

@mutambo Never had an issue with any of my clients most dogs aren’t bather daily or weekly with either.
