Pet insurance

Do any of you have pet insurance and if so, are there ones you’d recommend for a 3 year old Aussie/retriever mix?

@jeff4607 I have Nationwide, it's great. Just had an incident with my dog that cost about $5,000 total, they covered about $4,300. She's doing good now.

Whoever you go with, get it now before anything that could be considered a pre-existing condition (and therefore not covered) shows up. I do vaccines out of pocket as well.

@tmarie123 Second this so hard !!! Just had to spent 20k plus & counting out of pocket when it could’ve been covered by insurance. Get it early, I have NAtion wide, major medical plan now.

@tmarie123 I have Nationwide too and I love it especially after they made the claims process so much easier.

@tmarie123 My family has car insurance through nationwide and I was definitely looking at their pet insurance and didn’t know if it was worth it or not.

@jeff4607 I have nationwide. I got the expensive policy ($50/m) and it covers 95% of everything except annual wellness stuff. I haven’t had to use it yet, but I’m at peace of mind knowing that it’s there if/when I need it. I’ve been told that nationwide is pretty good.
