We just got a puppy 2 days before Christmas to be pseudo therapy dog for my sister, we all love her but our yorkie doesn’t like her. When the puppy gets near him to play or to bite him(she is teething and knawing on everything) he growls and bares his teeth at her and typically runs away to a nearby human . The father of the Yorkshire is also a Yorkshire and is 3 years old. The father gets along great with the puppy and has been playing with her and is dealing with the teething nicely.(note that the puppy is NOT from the Yorkshire) We are getting both of the Yorkshire’s neutered next month but I’m wondering what I can do for now? Any help would be appreciated.
Our 2 year old (male) Yorkshire doesn’t like our 6-7 week old (female) black lab puppy. Does anyone have any advice ?
