I got a 9 week old puppy(J) about a week ago and I already had an almost 4 year old dog(C). They're both girls and they're both shorkies. C is quite timid and J keeps biting her when she tries to play. I seperate them after a growl or two occurs from C towards J. Not only does J bite C she also steals her toys out of her mouth and kicks her out of her bed. C just takes most of it besides the odd growl here and there for the biting. I've had C since she was 6 months old and I wanted her to have a friend but I feel out of my depth. Any advice would be appreciated especially regarding the biting.
Also I can't take J on walks because I live in Canada and it's -20 rn and she's 3lbs and she also needs her last set of shots so she can't go to daycare or any other place to socialize either. I've bought every chew toy under the sun. I have snuffle mats, lick mats, kongs, rope toys. J isn't toy or food motivated so far so I'm just at a loss.
