Kibble looks like hockey pucks?

When I adopted my dog, a friend of mine gave me a Ziploc bag full of mystery kibble to start off. I’m trying to identify the brand/product, because it has so far my dog’s favorite. Unfortunately, my friend doesn’t remember because it was just the leftovers of something her dog hated.

The good news is that this kibble had a really unique shape! Most kibble looks like pebbles. These were very dark, reddish brown (like cherry wood), and shaped like little hockey pucks, about the diameter of a nickel (~2.25 cm) and about 1/4” tall (~0.75 cm)

Does that ring any bells for anyone? I’ve never seen another brand of dog food look like this. When I first saw it I thought it would be too big for my dog’s mouth but no he loved it.

Since then, I’ve tried him on Purina Dog Chow and then on Purina One Lamb & Rice. He’s hated both, and he’s losing weight, and I really want to feed him something he loves.

@way_to_galway I think the Go brand dogfood I tried with my shihtzu was puck shaped. Have a look at that

@celoxisppm I don’t think is a reddish brown though. Isn’t it often a dark brown?
