Chihuahua 15 y/o experiencing symptoms of incontinence, lack of appetite, labored breathing, difficulty getting comfortable/laying down, slow walking, can’t walk up and down stairs. Slowly started about 5 days ago. We took him to the vet for blood work, X-rays (thinking pneumonia), checked his legs for fractures, everything came up fine.
Blood work pristine, heart and lungs healthy, no CHF, no pneumonia, liver and kidneys perfect, no infection. The vet is completely stumped. I have no idea what to do with my baby. We started an antibiotic yesterday hoping it’s some infection that wasn’t caught and it’s been 12 hours since we started it. No signs of improvement.
What are you thoughts of what it might be?
