[Help] Dog's paws hurting b/c of salt. What are some things I can use to help his paws?

Been walking my dog twice a day but now it seems that his paws start hurting when out for a bit (even where there's no salt) and begins to limp for a while after as a result. Since the balm isn't working anymore, what are some other options? I know boots might be good but I'm not sure which ones are good. Also he's a large dog and his breed is Tamaskan.

@dasheek I've been using the Pawz booties on my husky to protect his paws from the salt. Works great!

@e1ouise I use these too. Every other type of boot does not stay on in deep snow and the Pawz keep the slush and salt out

I got the large size, but they were way too tight at the top that I couldn't even get it on. Not sure if X-large will be big enough.

@dasheek Those are the ones, yep. I have to stretch the opening pretty wide to get them on my dog, but that's part of what keeps them from falling off. Maybe you could go to Petco and see if they'd let you try the XL on your dog?
