Getting some Barbados sheep in the spring. Anyone have herding experience? I’d like to try my hand. I have zero experience with herding

@ginja Just an FYI from my very minor herding experience: both the dog and the sheep need to be trained. Green sheep will not do well with a green dog. I’d find an experienced trainer with sheep and start there and maybe have an experienced dog work your sheep for a while.

Also runner ducks are great to start a dog on.

@ginja While the dogs can herd chickens, chickens scatter so they don’t typically do well being herded. Ducks clump together so they do better
