Equilibrio Grain Free - Good?

Hey, does anyone ever heard about this brand, made by a brazilian company (Total Alimentos)? I'm feeding my 14yr old poodle with this one right now, and she's loving it. Despite of other grain free dog foods, aparently they use a better source of fiber and carbo, and at the sime time not going thru the same mistakes other "grain free" brands went to, by unbalancing the amount of protein for dogs that, be honest, do not hunt anymore (generaly saying).

If there's a vet or a dog food expert over there that could make some cooments about that, I'd aprecciate!

Composition: Poultry by-product meal, Deboned chicken, Poultry fat (preserved with natural mixed tocopherols and rosemary oil), Fish oil, Cassava flour, Cassava starch, Pea fibers, Beet pulp, Dried egg product, DL-methionine, Glutamine, L-carnitine, Taurine, Green tea extract, Propolis extract, Probiotic, Mannan-oligosacharides, Chondroitin sulfate, Glycosamin sulfate, Inulin, Sodium hexametaphosphate, Yucca schidigera extract, Zeolite, Calcium propionate, Potassium chloride, Hydrolyzed deboned chicken, Vitamin premix, Mineral premix chelate.

@niagaraboy I can’t speak for the brand, but I’ll say that I’m here looking for new dog food because a grain free diet almost killed my dog. She has an enlarged heart now because because without grain, the food doesn’t have an amino acid to help process protein.

Just an update, got an answer (actually 2) about this Grain Free dog food on petcoach.com (which I recommend!).

1st answer: This food does not have as many legumes as the main ingredients as some of the grain free foods, however there is much we don't know about grain free foods. The FDA released the warning, and more research is being done to determine what is best for our pets, but at this time, no one knows for sure if certain foods are causing heart disease or if it is only an association. If Belinh seems to like the food, I recommend continuing to feed it for now. Down the road we may have more information, but for now, I would not tell you to stop this food. https://www.petcoach.co/question/?reload=true&id=573645&redirect=true

2nd answer: It looks like an overall good food to feed, especially for a smaller breed senior dog. If Belihn has any underlying health issues or conditions, speaking with the vet that currently treats her is your best option to make sure there is no interactions with any ingredients (though I wouldn't think there would be unless your dog has a food allergy). Otherwise, if you decide to use this food, make sure to transition over a period of 7-9 days to avoid GI upset. https://www.petcoach.co/question/?id=570074
