Dog only barks when I’m (F) home

I have an 11 month old puppy. He’s always barking when I’m at home. My fiancé works from home and says he pretty much never barks until I walk in. He’s not barking aggressively. He literally will just follow me around barking and wagging his tail and smiling. At first I thought he just wanted attention but he’ll bark on and off even when I’m petting him. I work overnights 7/14 days every two weeks and sleep during the day. So I’m not sure if when I’m home and awake he’s just excited or what but it’s very frustrating to try to talk with my fiancé and he’s just barking non stop.
