Diabetic Dog Food Recommendations

Our westie was diagnosed with diabetes, addisons disease about 3 weeks ago. On top of all that, she is losing her hearing. Our vet recommends - Hill's Prescription Diet w/d Digestive/ Weight/ Glucose Management Vegetable & Chicken Stew Canned Dog Food [link]. This stuff is really expensive, but it was one of the only foods my dog actually eats.

Does anyone have a diabetic stew/wet food to recommend that is less expensive?

@dirknowitzkifan9 Honestly, for this, you probably should talk to your vet. Be honest with them about the price being an issue. There might be other prescription diet options or they might be willing to help you with a transition after using the prescription for for just a short amount of time.

You could also see if you can find a veterinary nutritionist that could help you find and/or create a diet that would work for your dog.
