Adopt large breed

I’m considering adopting a larger breed dog (60-100lbs). I've only had small breed dogs until now, and currently, I have a female 16lb Terrier mix. I would make sure my Terrier is able to get along with the new dog, but what other things should I be considering before I make the commitment? I'm a little worried if I’d be able to walk a larger breed dog at my size: 5’6”, 122lbs. Any owners of larger breed dogs out there with some advice?

@stockmanroad A lot of of it will depend on the breed. I have 2 standard poodle pups one is 37 pounds and the other 35 at 5 months. Can’t say they will fit your description of large dog but they are not hard to control. My middle son is about your size and he is ok.

@forchristianfellowship Thanks for the reply! I started volunteering at the local shelter and hope they’ll let me take out some of the larger dogs to walk as practice
