    @manofthecloth My vet explained to me that by the time they are showing symptoms, it's generally late stage. Sometimes the most compassionate thing we can do is say goodbye. All the best to you, don't let a vet override your best judgement. There is always a test to run.

    Name ideas for male heeler

    @cholachrist A couple I've heard recently are Riggs and Costner. My last one was Foster (Australian for Beer) and currently Poppy (red heeler rescue who's name was Pepper) Don't plan too far ahead, personality plays a big part!

    @cholachrist Check Petfinder by breed and location. Mostly shelters, and they assess them for kids, cats, and other dogs in the home. Plus, all the good feels of rescuing!

    @ctoss I'd be interested. I have a 5 year old female ACD rescue who was brought in with a litter of her pups that were all adopted before her. I was the lucky one! She would love to have a playmate. Located in Eastern Iowa. FYI - Lots of cows, and I have a river property near 2200...
