Q&A I wish I had read when I was struggling with puppy blues

@aidenb I used to feel exactly that way. The scary thing is, at some point other puppies start to get awfully cute again and then you start to think, "Maybe it wouldn't be too bad... (dog's name) could use a friend..." I'm not doing it, but I know a lot of people would!

Q&A I wish I had read when I was struggling with puppy blues

@christiancowboy It's not worse imo, but different. It depends on the dog. Adolescents become much more stubborn and start testing their boundaries. That means they will hear a command that they have successfully obeyed 900 times before and not do it. Or do it very reluctantly, after you...

Q&A I wish I had read when I was struggling with puppy blues

@flocy Yeah! I'd say 80% of the battle is adjusting to life with a puppy. SO glad you feel more positive about your guy! 6 months was such a sweet time. 7 months is when adolescence hit us like a truck, but we survived and so can you.

Q&A I wish I had read when I was struggling with puppy blues

@estherina This is a great way to look at it. The feeling that you should be doing more causes so much unnecessary pressure. There are definitely some important life skills you want to start building on, like recall and impulse control, but yes, year one should be all about growing up and...

Is my puppy growing too fast? 0.5kg in 2 days! Also, signs of hip dysplasia?

@joyousli I have heard that in some cases of puppies with mixed breeds, the offspring ends up bigger than both parents. It's really hard to predict the size of your puppy from her parents because she's got mixed parentage. But don't worry too much-- she's growing fast and is probably going...
