@lindrosd None, as they're actually illegal where I am and I don't find them very useful anyway. What are you hoping to use it for? Recall training? Reducing barking? What other training tools/methods are you using? There's probably a way to get the same results through positive reinforcement.

@ianjosephjackson It's definitely possible! Most of the new members we get at the obedience club I train with are adult dogs rather than puppies, and they don't have any particular issues learning new things. Plus four is still quite young, and GSDs are usually very intelligent and trainable, so...
