@annabanana777 Why don’t you want to try medicine? We used it temporarily and I’ve been able to wean my dog off. We used it as a training aid. Banging on the crate will likely scare an anxious dog and create bad associations with the crate.

@skilletboy I wouldn’t suggest doing this, and I don’t know a trainer who would suggest this over crate training (or containing the dog in a safe room or x-pen.)
