I think someone else is in my dogs body

@mudpuddle There are 2 vets at our practice. 1 owns it. He's one of the most amazing vets I've ever taken my pets to. The new vet is great I'm sure.... But... I gave them plenty heads up about Hellena. She called her aggressive twice, blamed me, tried to baby talk a terrified dog, expected...

I think someone else is in my dogs body

@drbarryrev Just keep trying. We met with several trainers but zero progress. Had success using webinars and training myself first! But the medication was absolutely what she needed. I feel awful about waiting this long. I asked vets before. Vets who couldn't touch her. Vets who saw her...

I think someone else is in my dogs body

No, but seriously. She turned 3 and it's like I have a totally different dog. For some background, I got Hellena in 2019. When I first got her is when I noticed something wasn't right. She shivered and melted into the ground. Terrified. Of everything. Of course the obvious stuff like a plastic...

Share with me what you LOVE about your reactive dog

@jacob86 My girl sleeps with me every night. She checks my pee and her pee every day. I have no idea what she’s checking for but I trust she’ll let me know the moment it’s there. She follows me constantly so I’m never alone. I can trust her with a plate of hibachi left in my bed. She won’t take...

    Neighbors turned yard into Sniffspot

@calen Sometimes we go to sniffspots where I can hear neighbors dogs barking up a storm. But I try to only select ones where this won’t be an issue. That being said, now is about the time I’d be dropping by with some goodies! I’d tell them a little about how my dog has a tendency to lose their...

Is it extreme that I have lost respect for my family member because they use unkind methods to train?

@ashiedu I don't know you or anything about your situation. But I'm 30 now. And once upon a time, I was growing up under her roof. It took years of barely seeing each other to get here. She wasn't always willing to hear me out or change. So I wasn't always willing to talk!

Is it extreme that I have lost respect for my family member because they use unkind methods to train?

@ashiedu My mom was what I personally believe is abusive. She got a tiny dog and was bullying him. Like I know certain tactics used to be common but still! When a puppy pottys inside, that's your fault! Watch it better, take it out more, crate it, leash it to you, etc. But don't get mad at the...

My landlord’s dog doesn’t seem to like me and it’s getting worse

@mommy1234 Is it possible you can feed the dog? You would need to speak with your landlord about this. But I think if you took over feeding, the relationship would change drastically.

Is your dog affecting your decision to have kids?

Is your dog affecting your decision to have kids?

@dlmoodyfan I've had 3 dogs in my adult life. 2/3 have absolutely loved children in all their stages(babies, toddlers, young children, etc). My husky loved kids all of his life. My newest dog loves kids. They were both practically drawn to them and obsessed with any in my life. My shepherd...
