What’s it really like being a dog groomer? The good and the bad

@daleviewrd People have covered a lot of good stuff to consider but one thing I wanted to be sure to point out is... This is very true of dog grooming in a typical salon and you will absolutely get that, but it's a bad thing. Even if it's something you value, it's not a job that typically has...

How many days a week do you normally work?

@nihal Hey, I'm also slow! I've always groomed the least dogs in every salon I've worked at even with a decade of experience. But nearly 12 hours for 5 dogs in a salon environment to me says there is something else potentially going wrong here. You're being scheduled inappropriately, you're...

This may be a silly questions but longer length on the legs grooms

@kate22 The right answer is simple - you have to ask for more clarification! I normally phrase it to people as "Did you want the legs just a little longer for overall balance or do you want a more dramatic difference between the body and legs for style?" Their answer will tell you whether to...

Advice needed: confronting groomer about damp dog

@jessey123 One thing they might be referencing is that in many corporate salons groomers are not "allowed" to do bath dogs so they need to be scheduled in the system as face/feet/sanis so they don't get in trouble.
