@airamnire This issue was only under specific circumstances, and I don’t use prongs or e collars on him in those circumstances because of his response to pressure.

@airamnire I don’t use them for reactivity. I use them to proof commands the dog already knows or for unwanted behaviours. Not all unwanted behaviours are related to reactivity.

@lovedaddy No, I adopted him a few months ago when he was about a year old. He was headed for behavioural euthanasia. Figured I’d give him a shot and so far so good! Redirection isn’t all that common so I wouldn’t worry too much about it if your dog has never shown signs of it!

@eront Agree. I think respect comes from trust, consistency and follow-through. These are things you would establish in the way you teach your dog. Respect comes naturally if you’re thorough in your training.
