I cannot believe the condition she was in

@trayvongangsta33 You really are saying that most people who are breeding doodles are sourcing high quality dogs, proving them in some way (other than just by having reproductive organs), paying hundreds or thousands of dollars for health testing, and then finding ANOTHER dog, of a different...

I cannot believe the condition she was in

@trayvongangsta33 Which part? Is there an ethical doodle breeder out there SOMEWHERE? Maybe. But I’ve never heard of one. Hell, the guy that CREATED the Goldendoodle has gone on record saying her regrets it and wish he had never done it.

    Dog tie-out advice

@rbell77 Absolutely a harness is the safer option. I’d prefer an overhead runner to a fixed tie out to the ground, for a lot of reasons.

I cannot believe the condition she was in

@trayvongangsta33 Because they are mutts. They are breeding whatever dog they can get their hands on to whatever poodle they have to create “designer” dogs. They are crossing breed with wildly different conformation, temperament, and purpose to create a product they can sell as “hypoallergenic.”...

Our dog is very protective of my wife and baby against me

@bestnamever Reframe. Your dog isn’t protective, it’s resource guarding. I’m not sure what you mean when you talk about “discipline” but I guarantee whatever it is, you are making the situation worse. There are a million resources out there on resource guarding. For now, while you figure out...

Legitimate Q.. how do people take dogs for a walk and keep their home clean?

@that_guy_you_are I got rid of every carpet. I have washable throw rugs at the entry. A roomba. Lowered standards. Yesterday I did a color run with my dog in the am. Put him in the house covered in powdered paint and went to teach a class. Planned to give him a bath, but he looked “clean” when...

Is peeling a dog’s paw pads normal?

@satanworshiper666 But maybe THEY took him out on hot pavement? Whatever happened, it’s NOT normal. Can you imagine walking around on raw feet?

Will my rescue dachshund ever get used to small children?

@tranquilcs The thing is…. You adopted the dog knowing he had kid aggression issues as an adult dog. And the breed is known for not being especially good with kids. It’s reasonable to think that you can desensitize him to calm children in a controlled environment, but as you see, it takes very...

    Dog Training Post Attack

@rdmarita $5k is NOTHING compared to what a lawsuit will cost you when this dog attacks someone else. And your insurance likely won’t cover you. You should really consider WHY professional trainers won’t touch this dog. This is not a dog that you can learn on and make mistakes with. You will...

    Dog Training Post Attack

@sonofstephen Not to mention as soon as their insurance company finds out about this, they will be dropped and it’s pretty impossible to find a carrier that would cover this dog.

    advice please :(

@blapakona77 She’s a baby in a strange new place, and probably alone for the first time ever. She doesn’t understand where she is, or why, or anything else. It just takes time for them to settle in. Even adult dogs tend to do this when they go to a new home (or even if the family moves to a new...
