    @unhingedflareon1111 Perhaps, it sounds like you're doing a great job brushing him. Maybe give him a lick mat or something he can chew on while you brush him out so he's distracted with something yummy.

    @unhingedflareon1111 There isn't an alternative to a slicker brush, unfortunately, you could try another slicker like the artero long pin slicker? Maybe those pins are a bit smoother and less scratchy.
