@emmardm I'm so glad it went well! I don't think you're supposed to do anything...we just had two crates and it made more sense for us to have one in the bedroom and one in the family room. Now it's just in the family room. It's scary to sleep alone and I'm glad the little reassurance worked...

@emmardm I put the crate on a bench right by my bed level with me so I could sneak a few fingers in there and soothe my 8 week old. Then crate moved to the floor and further from the bed over a month or so. Then I let him sleep outside the crate ONE night when he was 5 months (and had a cone)...
