@mbml I think it was a coyote but it was hard to tell due to the darkness. It seemed sort of in awe at her barking, standing motionless. When the neighbors came outside it was gone.

@mbml We don’t know. She was barking at the wild animal but she was inside the fence so they didn’t make contact. She just stopped barking and fell over onto her side. That was it.

Thank you all so much for your condolences. I just needed to type it out to help me grieve. It’s never easy to lose a pet, but this dog was so special to me. Perhaps because we were both flawed and just trying to muddle through this crazy life together? We had a bond I’ll never forget. 💔
