@eline Thank you for your reply. Sorry to hear it has happened to you too, and more severely it sounds. Is it Purina HA that you are using now? Dry or wet food? I can find the dry food here in the UK but not the wet food. I have asked Hills what they have changed in their recipe but haven't...

@imagebeastmarkbeast Yes that sounds like something I would be prepared to do it's just that the problem we were told by the vet that he had was that he couldn't tolerate the protein in meats, hence Hills with hydrolyzed protein sources. I imagine that raw meat will have the same effect on him...

@pleaseprayformeplz I might try raw at some point. I haven't tried it up until now because it seems to be the proteins in meat that he cannot digest. And I don't think that the food being raw will alter this intolerance. But if I get desperate enough I will try anything. I will have to...

@jamaix When he was a puppy they did all kinds of blood tests on him. It was 11 years ago so I can't remember exactly but I imagine they ruled that out.

@jamaix No to the meds. He's had this problem since he was a puppy even before he'd been outside. Not had any checks, no.

@jamaix Stomach churning, drinking lots of water, low energy. Stool not all that solid. Symptoms normally a few hours after he's eaten it.

@basedluther Tried yes, they only have the HA dry food not the wet. It would be the HA with hydrolysed protein that we would want.

@haydnp Thank you a few people have mentioned Purina. He has never tolerated a dry food before (even when I have put water on it and mashed it up) but hey at this point I'll try anything. Thank you.

@anniekins13 I can't seem to find the Purina HA wet food anywhere in the UK!! He doesn't seem to tolerate the Royal Canin hydrolyzed. I may try him on the dry food and cross my fingers.

@imagebeastmarkbeast I haven't but I spent months when he was a puppy and since trying him out on different foods and dog foods so I have a pretty good idea of what he can tolerate and for how long. But if nothing else works I could try that thanks for the suggestion.
