@nyh Always set aside a portion of your money for tools and maintaining them on this career. The better the tools, the faster you work and the higher the quality. I started at petsmart too! :) 11 years of being a groomer and I’m still buying new tools lol. My next purchase will be a set of...

How do I know my dog isn’t a little shit during grooming?

@burialchoice The only issue I ever have with cavaliers is they have a magnet in their ass and won’t stand up lol If the groomer says they’re no problem, it’s probably true.

PSA to men who ask us groomers if they can get a haircut too, please stop. It’s creepy

@bonitadan Switch it up; I say, “Only if you want to look like a poodle!” Same problem with overused joke, just like how cashiers hear, “Oh it doesn’t have a tag on it, it’s free!”

Advice needed: confronting groomer about damp dog

@karosti I would ask for your money back. Explain what you said in this post to the salon owner/manager. You obviously know what you’re talking about because you use correct products and tools on your dog. Whenever I hear of a groomer leaving a dog wet, it also makes me wonder if they properly...

Please stop undercutting yourself. You're harming others

@imagebeastmarkbeast I just started last year with $100 for my doodles, and I’ve been moving them all to the 150-160 range. I told them it’s what I had to do for my business to run. Almost all of them stayed with me.
